Do you have dreams of going overseas, studying at a university in another country? Or are you worried that your child may be prevented from attending certain university courses? Or perhaps you're concerned that your child will not achieve their potential, academically, if they do not have the opportunity to study in a culturally diverse environment?
However, for many people, attending an overseas university is not financially viable. An Australian study showed that over 35% of undergraduate students are in receipt of some sort of welfare and almost 70% of all Australian undergraduates receive financial support from their family. Many students cannot afford to study post-secondary education.
We can do a world-class education study in Australia with the finances that we have, and we must. No student should be prevented from attending university because they do not have the finances to do so.
We want Indian students to study here
In some areas of Australia, the Indian and Indian community is making a significant contribution to our country. The Indian community is the fastest growing immigrant group in Australia and, according to the Australian Institute of Immigration, they make up 17% of all new migrants each year. The Indian and Chinese communities have set up successful organizations such as Basky Healthcare, Arrive Education, the Australian Indian Education Council, and Caster Health Services, to name just a few.
These organizations, supported by non-Indian members of their communities, have provided an avenue for Australian children to improve their education and to become successful and well-adjusted members of society.
Celebrating festivals, making discoveries, and creating innovations are the foundations of Australian life. The notion that Australia is a wealthy nation that can offer world-class education to its citizens is supported by institutions such as the Australian Indian Education Council, universities such as the University of Sydney, and research and development programs in science and education at CSIRO and other government organizations such as the Department of Education and Training.
Information and technology, transportation technologies, and health technologies have transformed the way we live our lives. Technology provides opportunities for education and healthcare for individuals and the education and health services for societies.
Just imagine what can be achieved with more resources, facilities, financial resources, more skilled teachers and extra students studying in the Australian education system.
Most importantly, education and health services do not rely on discriminatory or punitive policies or laws.
